Privacy Policy

SafeAdd is an independent community tool that aggregates anonymous safety signals about Roblox accounts, and provides a public API for developers to access that data. This policy explains what information we collect across both the website and the API, how we use it, and your rights.

Information we collect

When you use SafeAdd, we may collect the following:

  • Roblox account data. When you verify your Roblox account, we store your Roblox username and user ID to confirm your identity and prevent duplicate submissions.
  • Signal data. When you submit a safety signal (comfort level and optional flags), we store it anonymously. Your identity is never publicly linked to any individual signal.
  • API keys. If you register for API access, we generate and store an API key associated with your account. This key is used to authenticate your requests and enforce usage limits.
  • API request logs. We log API requests including timestamps, endpoints accessed, and the API key used. These logs are used for rate limiting, abuse detection, and usage analytics. We do not log the content of responses.
  • Usage data. We use Google Analytics to collect anonymized usage statistics such as page views and session duration.

How we use your information

  • To verify your Roblox identity and prevent abuse of the reporting system.
  • To aggregate anonymous safety signals and compute trust scores for Roblox accounts.
  • To enforce cooldown periods between submissions.
  • To authenticate API requests and enforce rate limits.
  • To monitor API usage for abuse detection and platform integrity.
  • To improve the site using anonymized analytics.

API developers

If you use the SafeAdd API, your API key is tied to your account and treated as a credential. You are responsible for keeping it confidential. If you believe your key has been compromised, contact us at support@safeadd.io and we will revoke and reissue it.

API request logs are retained for a rolling period for abuse prevention purposes and are not shared with third parties. We do not use your API usage data for advertising or resell it in any form.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell your personal data to any third parties.
  • We do not publicly display who submitted any individual signal.
  • We do not share your Roblox identity with other users.
  • We do not use API request logs for advertising purposes.

Third-party services

SafeAdd uses the following third-party services:

  • Supabase. Used for database storage and authentication.
  • Roblox API. Used to verify usernames and fetch avatar images. We do not store data beyond what is necessary.
  • Lemon Squeezy. Used to process payments and manage subscriptions. Payment information is handled securely by Lemon Squeezy and is not stored directly by SafeAdd.
  • Google Analytics. Used to collect usage data such as page views and session activity. This data may include identifiers such as IP address and cookies, and is processed in accordance with Google's privacy practices. You can opt out via browser extensions.

Data retention

Submitted signals are retained to maintain the integrity and accuracy of aggregated scores, unless deletion is requested. API keys remain active until revoked by you or by SafeAdd. API request logs are retained on a rolling basis for abuse prevention. If you wish to have your account, submitted signals, or API keys removed, contact us at support@safeadd.io and we will process your request.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you. To make a request, contact us at support@safeadd.io or reach out via our Discord server.
